General Manager

Gastonia, NC

Serve as manager over both the HVAC Services team and Plumbing Services team. Respond to sales and service calls 2-3 days per week. Manage Profit and Loss of HVAC and Plumbing Services Department. Support Service Technicians in achieving sales quotas. Develop and implement training schedule for newly hired technicians. Stay updated on new technology and new industry standards. Responsible for hiring and growing the services business. Manage day-to-day activities of dispatch manager. Create and Implement KPIs for services business in coordination with upper management. Develop and implement sales systems for technicians. Oversee supply ordering and fleet management for services department. Work M – F, 7am to 5pm, and 1 – 2 weekends per month as part of the on-call rotation. Supervise 15-20 employees, including HVAC Service Technicians, Plumbing Service Technicians, HVAC Installation Technicians, Plumbing Installation Technicians, and Dispatch Manager. Requires 2 years of managerial experience in the fields of HVAC or plumbing to include 2 years: supervising and evaluating the work of HVAC or plumbing technicians; applying knowledge of mechanical and plumbing building codes while performing/overseeing HVAC or plumbing work. Must possess EPA Universal Certification for handling refrigerants. Must have a valid driver’s license. Requires 50% US travel in company supplied vehicle to visit customers for sales or service calls within a 100-mile radius of the home office.
